Grace Reformed Church is a historic church located at 1405 15th Street in NW Washington, DC.
Originally organized as a Reformed Church in the United States congregation, it is now affiliated with the United Church of Christ (UCC).〔(“United Church Of Christ, Washington Grace Reformed Church” )〕 From the earliest days, the Congregation has made the historic creeds an integral part of its traditional worship with Gospel preaching and sacred choral and instrumental music. Special historic interest attaches to Grace Reformed Church because Theodore Roosevelt was a member while President of the United States.〔

Grace Reformed Church, located in Washington D.C., was organized with 14 charter members on October 7, 1877.〔 The church traces its roots to the Protestant Reformation in Switzerland in the 16th century.〔 The church was originally organized as a Reformed Church in the United States congregation, and is now affiliated with the United Church of Christ (UCC).〔
In 1877, the congregation that would become Grace Reformed Church was established for English-speaking Reformed Church believers.〔"The Reformed Church in the United States." Cleveland, Ohio: Central Publishing House, 1913.〕 Grace Reformed Church was initially supported as a mission church by the Maryland Classis, the governing body of the Reformed Church in the region.
Grace Reformed Church became affiliated with the Evangelical Church through the merger of the Reformed Church in the United States (RCUS) with the Evangelical Synod of North America (ESNA)() to form the Evangelical and Reformed Church (E&R) of the United States.〔"History and Program: United Church of Christ." Then, in 1957 the Evangelical and Reformed Church merged with the majority of the Congregational Christian Churches (CC) to form the United Church of Christ (UCC).〔〔〔 Today, Grace Reformed Church (Washington DC) is affiliated with the United Church of Christ.
